Did leaked emails show girls exploited at an Isha initiation?
The claim
In February 2025 Shyam Meera Singh posted a YouTube video saying internal emails showed minor girls being exploited during brahmacharya initiation at the Isha Yoga Center. A complaint based on that video reached Tamil Nadu police.
What the record shows
News18 reported that the Delhi High Court ordered the video down as based on entirely unverified material. News18 also reported that Perur police in Coimbatore filed a closure report after questioning 61 students at Isha Home School and Isha Samskriti, and 13 people who had worked at the centre since 2017. None corroborated the allegations, according to that report. Isha quotes the police line that there was no prima facie case and no FIR.
What was not decided
A closure for want of prima facie evidence is not a completed criminal trial ending in acquittal.
