What Nakkheeran published, and what the court ordered down
The claim
Nakkheeran, and its editor Gopal, published a run of videos and articles accusing Isha Foundation of exploitation, brainwashing, holding people against their will, and illegal activity. Isha's own account says the same outlet has, since the 1990s, also alleged abduction, sexual misconduct, land grabbing and environmental violations. Other posts often repeat these as if they were new.
What was ordered down
This is one civil defamation suit, CS(OS) 957/2024, Isha Foundation v. Google LLC and others, before Justice Subramonium Prasad. Isha asked for Rs 3 crore in damages. Two orders matter.
On 19 March 2026 the court dismissed Nakkheeran's application to throw the suit out, and directed that the impugned videos and articles be taken down. The Times of India, reporting the order once it was public, said the court was dealing with eleven videos. It quoted the judge: the videos were per se defamatory, the titles were click-bait, and the manner of publication indicated an element of malice. The same report said the eleven videos together had more than 50 lakh views. The court restrained further uploading of the same videos and articles. LiveLaw reported the judge's oral line: "Order 7 Rule 11 dismissed. Directed to bring it all down."
On a later application the court widened that order. LiveLaw reported on 31 July 2026 that the March order had left out 39 short videos and five English-language videos listed in paragraph 10 of the plaint. The court modified paragraph 59 and directed Google and the outlet to take those down as well. Neutral citation reported for that clarification: 2026:DHC:6114, in I.A. 11822/2026.
What was not decided
Both orders are interim. They are not a criminal conviction of the editor, and they do not try each Nakkheeran story from the 1990s one by one. The public reports name the allegation categories. They do not print the title of each of the eleven videos, or of the 39 shorts.
Still missing, and worth sending in: the certified March 19 order, the paragraph 10 list of video titles and URLs, and any Nakkheeran article that is still online so the page can quote the claim and the matching line of the order side by side. Write to sadhguruallegations@gmail.com.
